Implementation of the University Websites Governance Policy
Ateneo de Manila University continues to strengthen a unified and trustworthy digital presence—one that reflects who we are as a community and how we communicate our mission to the wider public.
To support this goal, we are implementing the University Websites Governance Policy, which outlines shared standards and processes for the creation, management, and maintenance of all University-related websites.
This policy serves as a practical guide for units as they design, host, and manage their online platforms. It helps ensure that every Ateneo website reflects our values of excellence, integrity, accessibility, responsibility, and good stewardship. It also protects the University’s digital identity by aligning our web practices with requirements on branding, data protection, accessibility, and information security.
The policy was developed by the Digital Information and Technology Services (DITS), in collaboration with the University Marketing and Communications Office (UMCO), University Data Protection Office (UDPO), University Legal and Compliance Office (ULCO), and the Central Purchasing Office (CPO). This joint effort ensures a balanced approach—one that encourages creativity and innovation while upholding accuracy, compliance, and security.
We kindly ask all academic and administrative units to review their existing websites and to register them as specified in the policy. Likewise, any new website projects moving forward must follow the established process before going live.
The full policy and related resources are available on the DITS Microsite. For questions or assistance, please reach out to your DITS Client Manager or email itsupport@ateneo.edu.
As with all University-wide initiatives, this is a shared responsibility. By working together, we help strengthen Ateneo’s digital presence and ensure that every website bearing our name reflects the values, mission, and identity that unite us as one Ateneo community.
