Call for Applications: Main Concessionaires for all Basic Education (BE) Cafeterias 2026 (UBAO Memo)

Call for Applications: Main Concessionaires for all Basic Education (BE) Cafeterias 2026


Ateneo de Manila University invites school cafeteria operators, caterers, and those in the food service industry to apply to be a Main Concessionaire and manage any or all of the Basic Education Cafeterias, all located at the Loyola Heights, Quezon City campus. These are as follows:

  1. Grade School cafeteria (Kinder to Grade 6), 

  2. Junior High School cafeteria (Grades 7 to 10), and 

  3. Senior High School cafeteria (Grades 11 & 12).

The Main Concessionaire of a cafeteria is expected to:

  1. Demonstrate a strong track record in managing and operating a school cafeteria;

  2. Present a diverse, health-conscious, and high-quality menu especially for Kinder to Grade 12 students;

  3. Uphold principles of sustainability, ethical sourcing, and environmental responsibility; 

  4. Provide proof of the ability to make the necessary capital investments to improve the design and service of the existing cafeterias that aligns with the University's values of excellence, integrity, and community; and

  5. Have a soft opening after mid-June 2026 and to be fully operational for the coming school year.

Interested applicants should do the following on or before 28 February 2026:

  1. Send a Letter of Intent and Company Profile 

  2. Register with the Office for Food Safety and Quality Assurance (OFSQA)

The letter of intent should include a detailed company profile with photos of existing operations and list of current clients and partners. These should be emailed to food.ubao@ateneo.edu, with SUBJECT: BE CAFETERIAS 2026.

Please note that all food business operators within the University are required to be registered first with the OFSQA. If you are not yet registered, please complete your registration through this link: https://www.ateneo.edu/central/fsqa/food-entity-registration-catering-accreditation

The mandatory requirements for the OFSQA registration are as follows:

  1. OFSQA form #14 - download, fill out, and submit

  2. Valid Sanitary Permit of existing operations 

  3. Complete Menu List with prices / Specialty Profile

  4. Packaging List should be compliant with the University Packaging Guidelines

UBAO will select from the OFSQA-registered food businesses and will get in touch with shortlisted applicants as early as 14 February until mid-March 2026 for the next steps.
