Excellence Awards for SY 2023-2024 (Memo # U2526-068)

The annual Excellence Awards recognize the impactful contributions of our teaching and non-teaching personnel at the University. Established in 1982, the awards have been made possible by the generous support of University friends and alumni, who have created endowment funds in honor of Jesuits and alumni who embody the Ignatian values of service, faith, and justice. 

With the implementation of the new job classification system, the current guidelines for the Excellence Awards are no longer applicable. With input from the University People, Team, and Organization Development Office, the President’s Committee on Professorial/Faculty Chairs and Other Awards has developed new guidelines, which I have formally approved. 

I am pleased to open the nomination for the Excellence Awards for the following categories: 

1. Leadership-Manager
2. Leadership-Supervisor
3. Individual Contributor- Specialist and Regulated Professional
4. Individual Contributor- Academic Support Professional
5. Rank and File and Staff 

Any university employee may submit nomination(s) stating the reasons in accordance with the attached criteria approved for the Awards.

To ensure proper screening, all nominations must be sent to the cluster Vice President/Head to which the office of the nominee belongs. The deadline for submitting nominations to the cluster Vice Presidents/Heads is Friday, 13 March 2026. 

All Cluster Vice Presidents/Heads, in turn, are requested to submit the pre-screened nominations to my office (c/o Ms Cris Yparraguirre), or send them by email to cyparraguirre@ateneo.edu not later than Friday, 27 March 2026.
