AUSTRALIA —A new form by the University of Sydney which requires master’s and PhD students to declare their “broadly relevant” personal relationships and with overseas organizations has been criticized by students and privacy experts. The form requires students to state any personal relationships like family members, close friends, ex-partner or any activities with a company, organization, professional association in Australia or overseas that is relevant to their research.
