UNITED STATES – Facebook posts of schools are accessible even to those not logged in to their accounts—if they have one. This poses a significant risk to privacy considering facial recognition companies also collect data from social media. NEWS | India's new DNA data law seems to target minorities and violates privacy

INDIA – A proposed law will allow the collection of the genetic data of victims, criminals, the accused, and even those reported missing, for their storage in national and regional data banks. NEWS | Security Bank users claim phishing losses of more than P5.7M in total

PHILIPPINES – Thirty-eight account holders of Security Bank have joined together to file a claim for losses amounting to more than P5.7M, caused allegedly by phishing and unauthorized transactions performed on their accounts. They reportedly received phishing emails and phone calls from fake Security Bank employees resulting in the unauthorized access to one-time passwords (OTPs) and the conduct of unauthorized transactions and customer profile updates. READ MORE
