Rizal Library now open to all LS students

08 Mar 2022 | Rizal Library

Books at the Professional Schools library

Starting 8 March 2022, ALL freshies, sophomores, juniors, seniors, super seniors, and graduate students may visit the Rizal Library! You don’t have to make an appointment, BUT you will need your Blue Pass or an approved CAR (go.ateneo.edu/LSStudentCARForm). And please remember to bring your Ateneo ID.

If you’ve never been on campus before, please take a look at the map below.

On the day of your visit, please ask to speak with a librarian or a Rizal Library Ambassador, so you can be given a short orientation.

For more information on the basics of visiting the Rizal Library, please read the following guidelines:

  1. All LS undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and other members of the Ateneo Loyola Schools community, may enter the Rizal Library’s three buildings from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to limits dictated by the physical space available per building and section. Non-LS community members will not be accommodated during the pilot period.
  2. All visitors may do research using print and non-print collections, use the facilities and computers, and photocopy and print documents, if available. Events may be accommodated on a case-to-case basis.
  3. At First Pacific Hall (aka New RL), only the Circulation Desk and the Reference Section on the 1st floor will be open for the LS community at this time (due to an ongoing renovation and inventory of books); books from the 3rd/4th floors must be requested in advance through an online form (http://go.ateneo.edu/RLBorrowingRequests) and books requested may be consulted at the Reference Section or borrowed at the Circulation Desk. At the Special Collections Building (aka Old RL), all sections that were open to researchers before lockdown in March 2020 will again be accessible to all. At Matteo Ricci Hall, only one of its four rooms will be opened initially. If this room becomes full, then another room will be opened, and so on. Finally, CTC 101 may be reserved upon request.
  4. Students enrolled in Blue Pass AND have a class on the day of their desired visit may use the app to enter the Rizal Library. Those enrolled in Blue Pass but do NOT have a class on the day of their desired visit, along with those NOT enrolled in Blue Pass, must fill up the LS Student Campus Access Request Form (go.ateneo.edu/LSStudentCARForm). No separate RL appointment form will need to be filled up, but capacity limits will be monitored.
  5. All visitors will be required to wear face masks, observe physical distancing, and comply with existing health protocols.

We look forward to meeting you all again... or for the first time!
