TALAB 2022 and the national elections
28 Mar 2022
As Filipinos prepare to cast their ballots on 9 May, the Loyola Schools (LS) held Talakayang Alay sa Bayan (TALAB) to help students prepare and respond to the national elections. Held on 25 March 2022, the once-a-year event featured various talks and fora on issues related to the upcoming elections.
In her 21 March memo, Dr Maria Luz C Vilches, Vice President for the Loyola Schools, reiterated the importance of discernment in choosing the next leaders of the country: “What and who we choose on that day will decide our collective future for the next six years. That’s no small feat to have our future in our hands. In fact, it’s an enormous responsibility for ourselves and for our people. A good discernment process, therefore, is what we are called to do.”
