Ateneo de Manila still top PH private university in 2023 QS World Rankings

Ateneo de Manila University maintains its status as the top private university in the Philippines in the 2023 QS World University Rankings, placing in the 651-700 bracket in the rankings released Thursday, 9 June 2022.
"Institutions are assessed across six categories (or indicators) to effectively capture university performance," QS said in its website. The criteria include academic reputation; faculty-student ratio; employer reputation; citations per faculty; and international student ratio & international faculty ratio.
For the individual indicators, Ateneo de Manila also had significant rankings in the following:
- Academic Reputation: Rank 488 globally
- Employer Reputation: Rank 203
- Faculty-Student Ratio: Rank 532
It also ranked 52nd in the world for the Employment Outcomes indicator.
Ateneo's overall ranking is a bracket lower compared to the school's ranking in the 2022 edition, where the University was in the 601-650 group.
This year, QS said that around 1,500 institutions from around the world were included in the rankings.
The QS World University Rankings is released annually by the UK-based highed education analysis company Quacquarelli Symonds since 2012.
Ateneo de Manila consistently ranks in QS league tables. Aside from the World University Rankings, Ateneo is also a top presence in the QS Asia University and Subject Rankings.
In the most recent QS Asia University Rankings (2022), Ateneo climbed up to rank 124.
Ateneo also consistently ranks in the QS global subject rankings. In the 2022 edition, Ateneo is the top Philippine school for language studies, and is also ranked in business and management, arts and humanities, and social sciences.
