Ateneo wins Gold Prize of the 2022 IIBD International Business Case Competition

Four Ateneans won Gold Prize at the 2022 IIBD International Case Competition held on November 4, beating four other universities in the global final. Team member Julianne Co was also awarded Best Presenter of the Final Round. The theme for this year’s competition is “Investing in Global Health for a Sustainable Future”.
The team is composed of senior BS Management Engineering students Regina Mae Yu and Joyce Heidi Ong, senior BS Management Engineering and Economics-Honors student Jeff Nathan Mearns, and senior Management-Honors student Julianne Co. The team was mentored by coaches James Soriano (BS MGT-H 2012), Gabe Sin (BS ME 2018 & BS Math 2019), and Timi Fandino (BS MGT 2019). Ateneo has not missed a final round appearance in the competition since 2011, and has always placed among the top three teams.
Joining Ateneo on the 2022 podium were University of the Philippines – Diliman and Thammasat University (Thailand), which won Silver and Bronze, respectively. Rounding out the finalists this year are the host institution, Hong Kong Baptist University (Hong Kong SAR) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (China), in what was an all-Asian final. The competition was held online via Zoom.
