AJHS conducts first emergency drills since 2019

The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School community conducted its disaster preparedness drills in the morning of February 8, 2023. Students, faculty, staff, professionals, guests and other personnel participated in shelter-in-place, earthquake, fire, and evacuation simulations aimed at testing the community’s readiness to act in emergency situations. The activity was the first disaster preparedness drill of the AJHS community in three years. The E-CARD (Emergency, Crisis Awareness and Response Drive) Committee under the Office of the Assistant Principal for Administration received positive feedback in regard to the seriousness shown by the students during the drill. Points for improvement were noted as well and will be discussed further with the school administration.

The next challenge would be the unannounced drill, for which we have high hopes that the AJHS community will once again exhibit utmost readiness.
