Company of Ateneo Dancers wins at World of Dance National Finals

The Company of Ateneo Dancers (CADS) bagged first place in the College division of the World of Dance National Finals. The win earns them the right to be one of the teams representing the Philippines at the World of Dance Finals in Los Angeles, CA this coming August 2023.

The World of Dance Tour held its National Finals for the Philippines on 12 March 2023 at the UP Theater in Diliman, Quezon City. The competition featured 4 divisions—Juniors, High School Varsity, College, and Open Team. From each division, the top three teams would earn the right to compete in the World of Dance Finals in Los Angeles in August. 

CADS competed in the College division where they won against teams from schools, such as De La Salle University (DLSU), Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU), and Asia Pacific College (APC). The team finished with an impressive average of 91.3 points against second-placer DLSU's 83.5 and third-placer APC's 83 points.

With this win, CADS will now prepare to be one of the teams representing the country in the coming finals in August.  But before that, it also has to prepare for the UAAP Street Dance Competition in May as well as its own Year End Concert in April.
