The Health Sciences Society (HSS), the premier home organization for Health Sciences majors at Ateneo de Manila University (College), has achieved a significant milestone by receiving accreditation through the Student Organization Assessment and Review (SOAR) process. The SOAR accreditation, overseen by the Office of Student Activities, is the official accreditation system for all registered student organizations at Ateneo de Manila University (College).

In a grand ceremony held on June 21st at the Leong Hall Roofdeck, the certificate of accreditation was personally presented to the HSS by University President Fr. Roberto C Yap, SJ and Associate Vice President for Student Activities and Leadership Formation, Ms. Marie Joy Salita. The event, named Hinirang: The SOAR Recognition Gala and New Student Leaders Induction Ceremony, marked the official recognition of the HSS's outstanding contributions and commitment to the Ateneo community.

With the accreditation, the Health Sciences Society joins the ranks of other esteemed student organizations that have successfully undergone the rigorous SOAR process. The organization boasts a membership of over 400 students and holds the distinction of being the fifth student organization to achieve accreditation under SOAR since its inaugural run last SY 2018-2019. The Ateneo Blue Consulting Group, Ateneo Hinomoto, Barefoot Philippines, and Institute of Skin Divers of the Ateneo (ISDA) were the first three organizations to receive this esteemed accreditation in 2019.

The accreditation granted to the Health Sciences Society signifies the organization's dedication to excellence, leadership, and service. It validates the HSS's commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community among Health Sciences majors at the Ateneo de Manila Loyola Schools. As a home organization exclusive to currently enrolled Health Sciences students, the HSS will utilize its newly accredited status to continue providing invaluable support, resources, and opportunities for its members.

The accreditation under SOAR not only acknowledges the HSS's past achievements but also empowers the organization to further enhance its initiatives and broaden its impact within the university community. The Health Sciences Society can now forge stronger partnerships, access additional resources, and work collaboratively with other accredited organizations to create a more vibrant and dynamic Ateneo experience for all Health Sciences students.

The Health Sciences Society, its members, and the entire Ateneo community congratulate the organization on this remarkable achievement. The accreditation under SOAR is a testament to the tireless efforts, dedication, and passion displayed by the HSS in fulfilling its mission to promote academic excellence, professional development, and holistic growth among Health Sciences students.

As the Health Sciences Society moves forward with its newly acquired accreditation, it is poised to make an even greater impact within the university and beyond. The organization's commitment to the values of the Ateneo de Manila University is a shining example of its members' pursuit of excellence and their unwavering dedication to serving others in the spirit of "men and women for others."

Congratulations once again to the Health Sciences Society for this well-deserved recognition and accomplishment. The future holds great promise as the organization continues to inspire and empower the next generation of healthcare professionals, making a positive difference in the world.
