The Ateneo de Manila University thru the Office of Student Activities (College) recently hosted a grand thanksgiving dinner, "Flourish and Thrive: An Ode to Brighter Days Ahead," to honor the exceptional achievements and dedicated service of the Graduating Student Leaders for 2023. The event took place last May 20, 2023, at the Grand Ballroom of the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, with an attendance of 190 students, and esteemed guests.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome as participants arrived in their semi-formal attire and the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement as the student leaders prepared to embark on a memorable night of celebration and appreciation. The formal program began at 7:00 PM with a beautiful invocation by AtSCA president Kenan Gawaran and opening remarks delivered by Mr. Ralph Jacinto Quiblat, the Director of the Office of Student Activities.

Dr. Maria Luz Vilches, Vice President for the Loyola Schools (now the Vice President for Higher Education), shared an inspiring message, commending the graduating student leaders for their remarkable accomplishments and perseverance throughout their tenure.

Following the inspiring words, attendees were treated to a celebratory dinner, providing an opportunity for the student leaders and esteemed guests to enjoy a delectable meal and engage in meaningful conversations. The evening was further enhanced by captivating performances from Ateneo Musicians Pool (AMP) trio JCLYN, and emerging student artist Rian Pizzaras, showcasing their talents and creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

The highlight of the event was the ceremonial toast to the graduating student leaders. Matthew Gapuz, Ateneo Orsem 2022 Tinding Co-Chair, led the momentous occasion, raising a toast to the graduating student leaders and their bright future ahead.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Rizalino Rivera, Vice President for Mission Integration, who expressed his gratitude to the student leaders for their invaluable contributions to the Ateneo community. He emphasized the importance of their leadership in shaping the institution's mission and fostering a culture of excellence.

In addition to the student leaders, the event also welcomed distinguished guests and school administrators who were invited to join the celebration. The dinner reception offered them an opportunity to witness firsthand the remarkable accomplishments of the student leaders and express their support for their future endeavors.

The Office of Student Activities expressed its sincere gratitude to all the attendees for their presence, acknowledging the collective efforts that have shaped the vibrant student community at Ateneo. The "Flourish and Thrive: An Ode to Brighter Days Ahead" event served as a tribute to the graduating student leaders' unwavering commitment, hard work, and outstanding leadership, setting an inspiring example for the generations to come.
