Shaping the Future of IoT: Highlights from the Internet of Things Conference 2023

On 26 to 28 June 2023, the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO), in partnership with Packetworx, Inc., had the privilege of attending as one of the exhibitors at the Internet of Things (IoT) Conference 2023 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City. As the pioneering brand of IoT technology in the Philippines, Packetworx hosted the event to foster the widespread adoption of IoT and establish a vibrant community that drives positive change through its application. The IoT conference brought together industry experts, innovators, and enthusiasts to share insights, showcase cutting-edge solutions, and explore the vast potential of the Internet of Things.

The first day of the conference shed light on the role of IoT in transforming smart cities and agriculture. Esteemed resource speakers and panelists from diverse sectors, including private enterprises, government agencies, and educational institutions, took the stage to share their expertise and experiences.

Day 2 of the conference centered around engaging two panel discussions that delved into the intersection of IoT and smart utilities, as well as their transformative impact on enterprises. The first panelist focused on the theme of "Smart Utilities: The Future of Resource Management," shedding light on how IoT technology can revolutionize the management of crucial resources. The second panelist tackled the topic of "Building a Sustainable and Resilient Operations: An ESG Perspective," emphasizing the importance of environmental, social, and governance factors in the context of IoT-enabled operations.

On the final day of the conference, attendees eagerly participated in the packetHACKS Finale, which served as a fitting conclusion to the event. The spotlight of Day 3 was on esteemed experts hailing from diverse industries who engaged in insightful discussions on the convergence of Data Analytics, Blockchain, and IoT Technologies.

Overall, the IoT Conference 2023 provided an enriching experience for attendees, fostering meaningful discussions, collaborative partnerships, and innovative ideas.
