AIPO branches TechXplore to Silicon Valley

The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) proudly announces the successful conclusion of the inaugural run of TechXplore: Silicon Valley. This transformative program unfolded from 30 July to 5 August 2023, offering Ateneo students a remarkable journey into the heart of Silicon Valley. The overarching aim of this expedition was to kindle the entrepreneurial fervor within the participants, inspiring them to drive innovation and effect profound societal change.

Throughout this enlightening journey, the students actively engaged with a diverse array of companies in San Francisco, spanning the spectrum from promising startups to global tech titans. Facilitated by the invaluable assistance of StartUp Village, seven Ateneo participants were granted exclusive access to a captivating blend of companies, institutions, and iconic San Francisco landmarks. This comprehensive tour encompassed renowned organizations such as Google, Amazon, Apple, Oracle, Pik-Nik, Plug and Play Tech Center, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, Draper Hero City, Salesforce Tower, The Philippine Consulate, Dynamico Space, FilKor Capital, and many of the must-see tourist attractions.

The visit was a truly unforgettable experience, affording the participants an exclusive glimpse behind the curtains of some of the world's most influential companies. They were graciously invited into these hallowed offices and treated to a firsthand view of the inner workings and dynamics that drive these global giants. As a VIP perk, the students were treated to exclusive presentations within these renowned establishments.

Notably, some of the participants, who are current MBA students at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, seized the opportunity to showcase their own ventures and delivered compelling pitches to a discerning audience of investors and venture capitalists at Dynamico Space. Their presentations were met with warmth, fascination, and constructive feedback, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and growth.

In the brief duration of TechXplore: Silicon Valley, this program bestowed the students with invaluable insights into the intricate tapestry of San Francisco's business landscape. AIPO harbors high hopes that future iterations of this program will continue to provide even deeper insights and a broader spectrum of opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
