Pathways participants and parents gather for General Assembly
27 Oct 2023 | Pathways to Higher Education
Pathways participants and their parents gathered for the very first face-to-face General Assembly (GA) since the pandemic at the Leong Hall last 10 September 10 2023. The annual assembly is the organization’s opportunity to share updates about the program and events planned for the school year as well as interact with the parents and address questions they may have.
For this year’s run, we were joined by our youngest batch - the 12th graders, our college sophomores, juniors, and seniors. We were also happy to finally meet the parents of our sophomore and junior batches who joined the program at the height of quarantine measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most importantly, our younger participants finally saw the larger community they are now a part of where they were welcomed with open arms. With this, we finally got the chance to get all the participants acquainted with Pathways’ 20-year history in leadership formation.
We also introduced all the batches to systems that will further streamline our processes such as the Pathways calendar which is now better aligned with the Academic Calendars of the universities in which the participants are enrolled.
On top of this, we recapped some of the programs the participants have already undergone in the previous school year and the programs to which they can look forward this time around. Among them were our Discernment Workshop, Mentoring Program, and Paskuhan. Fortunately, our participant-parents also agreed and saw that these programs hope to bring out the leaders we see in them.
We were more than happy to see everyone excited for the coming school year and their renewed commitment to the program. Pathways, as well, commits to the continued service of our community!
