ECCE’s Peña, finalist at PAES Teaching Excellence Awards

Dr Robert Alfie S Peña, assistant professor of the Department of Electronics, Computer, and Communications Engineering (ECCE), was honored as a finalist in the 2023 PAES Teaching Excellence Awards organized by the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools (PAES).
Among over 60 member schools of PAES, Dr Peña was among the top ten chosen in the junior faculty category who advanced in the finals to represent the Ateneo de Manila University School of Science and Engineering.
Because of his outstanding performance during the final interview and teaching demonstration, Dr Peña was also asked to serve as the chair of the engineering education 1 (civil engineering/general engineering) parallel paper session.
The awarding ceremony was held at the Baker Hall of the University of the Philippines Los Baños as part of the 2023 9th International Conference on Engineering Education (ICEE-Phil 2023) and PAES General Assembly.
