Last 8 October 2023, we launched the Trailblazer Mentoring Program where our Pathways college juniors met their mentors for the very first time. The afternoon started with some games to break the ice and get to know each other a little better.
While college equips students with the tools they need for the workforce, it can still be intimidating to navigate more overlooked areas such as work culture and career paths. Having a better idea of what awaits them after graduation will help boost their confidence as they forge their own careers.
The Pathways Trailblazers Mentoring Program aims to match our college juniors (mentees) with mentors who are professionals from the industries our students are interested in pursuing a career. Mentors will act as guides helping our participants become more self-aware, clarifying their personal strengths and how their values align with what they plan to do in the future. At the same time, the program aims to impart a complementary experience for the mentors as they are given the opportunity to share their wealth of experience in a deeply meaningful way with the next generation. It is also our hope that this program can nurture impactful long-term relationships between mentors and mentees.
The mentors who volunteered for this year-long program are a mix of our friends from Cluster Executive Search and our alumni who are now professionals in their own fields. On the other hand, our mentees are college juniors from our 17th batch of participants across different schools and courses.
As these partnerships take off, we are excited to see the insight they generate and the paths they will plan together on this journey.
This event was a success thanks to our friends and Pathways family.
