JGSOM, Ateneo Business Resource Center ink partnership with MDi-Novare

On 30 January 2024, the John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM) and the Ateneo Business Resource Center (ABRC) signed a partnership with MDi-NOVARE that will create opportunities for students to help transform the future of human resources in the tech world.

The partnership will see two sections from JGSOM as the pilot classes “specifically focused on the dynamic field of data analytics and human resources.”

“In today’s very digital landscape, HR has transformed into a very data-driven arena where decisions are made based on analytics and evidence-based insights,” said Roberto Martin Galang, Dean of JGSOM. “This collaboration between MDi-Novare and Ateneo is groundbreaking, and it also reflects our commitment to stay at the forefront of HR.”

“This collaboration will showcase how you and your talents are able to use data from MDI to provide new insights for them, Dean Galang added. “The innovation runs on two levels: the first is that we are moving HR from a very qualitative analysis towards a more quantitative field. The second part of this is that you will be exposed to a real-world problem, so when you do these projects with MDi-Novare, these are not some academic questions that have just been posed to you; these are actual problems that our colleagues are facing today.”

“Your presentations are going to be integral,” he added. “The outputs that you’ll create can transform the way they hire, the way they employ, the way they promote people.”
