JGSoM Dean Robby Galang appointed president-elect of Jesuit business school association

Dr Roberto Martin Galang, Dean of the John Gokongwei School of Management of Ateneo de Manila University, was appointed as president-elect of the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools (IAJBS) during the last board meeting held on 19 February 2024 at the Esade Business School in Barcelona Spain. Robby will be holding this position until 31 July 2025, after which he will serve as president of IAJBS for two additional years. 

“It is a tremendous honor and responsibility to be selected by my colleagues from different Jesuit business schools to help lead our organization in the coming years,” said Robby. “This selection is primarily a recognition of the contributions of Ateneo de Manila University in promoting greater collaboration among our institutions, and our ability to innovate in educating future leaders through Ignatian pedagogy and principles.”

In his role as president-elect, Robby will sit on the IAJBS Board, and work closely with the current leadership to promote greater partnerships in teaching, research and service among the Jesuit universities around the world. 

The IAJBS was established in 1995 to serve as the global network of academic leaders of Jesuit business schools. In 2019, IAJBS launched the Inspirational Paradigm to reinvent business education in response to the growing challenges of poverty and environmental degradation. IAJBS publishes the Journal of Management for Global Sustainability in support of peer-reviewed research on environmental preservation, social entrepreneurship, social justice, and resource preservation.
