Digital marketing training with Meta

27 May 2024 | Enha Erika T Brondo, Office for Social Concern and Involvement

Partnerships for the Goals
META Training

The Office of the Assistant Vice President for Social Development, Environment, and Community Engagement (OAVPSDECE), the Office for Social Concern and Involvement (OSCI) and GK Ateneo partnered with Meta and Bayan Academy to conduct a Digital Marketing Training Program for the different partner communities of the Office for Social Concern and Involvement (OSCI) and GK Ateneo last 4 and 5 May 2024 at the Matteo Ricci Study Hall.

The two-day training program was designed to assist small business owners, cooperatives, and organizations to improve their entrepreneurial management skills in digital marketing, and utilize available Meta tools for their business. The goal was to increase participants’ knowledge of marketing, product/service promotion, and customer awareness to increase their sales.

META 1

The first day focused on Marketing 101 and Meta Business Tools. In the morning, the participants learned about the entrepreneur and the entrepreneurial mindset from Janine Chiong, President and CEO and Head of Sales & Marketing for Habi Footwear and Instructor at the John Gokongwei School of Management. They also tackled the basics of marketing and the tools that can be used in conducting market research. In the afternoon, they learned how to stay connected with their customers through online presence, how to attract the audience of their social media platforms, and how to engage with people and build their audience in the process. They also learned how to create their own Facebook Page.

META 3-4

The second day focused on how to capture the attention of their target customers. The morning session focused on input sessions and hands-on training about how to create ads on Facebook, and the participants were given tips on creating engaging mobile ads. The whole afternoon focused on creating Instagram Reels and Content creation through the 7Ps of product, price, place, promotion, people, process and physical evidence.

We’d like to congratulate the 31 participants from the different organizations of OSCI and Gawad Kalinga Ateneo who actively participated in the two-day training. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the following partners for sending their representatives to join the training:
