FINLAND - Helsinki's educational and training departments suffered a major data breach caused by an unknown hacker from outside the country, affecting over 80,000 pupils and their guardians, as well as 38,000 city employees. CANADA – A hacker demanded ransom from B.C. libraries, including the Cariboo Regional District's library, threatening to release user data if it is not paid. The BC Libraries Cooperative, which supports multiple libraries, was contacted by the hacker on April 19.
