Opening of AGS classes moved to 1 August 2024

Dear AGS Community,

I hope this message finds you and your families safe and well.

After taking a closer look at our current situation and hearing from many of you about your condition, we’ve decided to move the opening of classes to 1 August. We didn’t make this decision lightly, but it’s clear that we need to give our community more time to recover.

We’ve heard from parents whose children’s books have been damaged, and many of our teachers are still dealing with floodwaters around their homes. Our custodians and maintenance personnel, who are essential for getting our campus ready, have been hit hard and many haven’t been able to return yet.

Even though we’re pushing back the start of classes, we will still hold parent orientations on Monday, 29 July. This will be a good time to address any concerns you might have and ensure we’re all set for the new school year. For reference, here again are the schedules for the ONLINE parent orientations:
