Two Ateneo BluBLOC builds are in Top 20 of Legoland Malaysia School Challenge 2024

29 Jul 2024

Two Ateneo de Manila BluBLOC varsity teams whose members are from Ateneo Grade School (AGS) and Ateneo Junior High School (AJHS) are currently competing in the Primary and Secondary Group categories of the Legoland Malaysia School Challenge 2024. They have been named among the Top 20 in the public voting round, besting thousands of entries from across the Asia-Pacific region!

To keep them in the competition, please take a couple of minutes and vote for their entries- Mt Makaling (sic) Saga and Visayas- at this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LSC24Poll

Mt Makiling Saga

Juniors Team/Primary Division: "Mt. Makiling Saga" (A215SL2097) built by Dylan Lim (incoming Grade 8), Paco Javier (incoming Grade 8), Cubby Falgui (incoming Grade 7), Sage Falgui (incoming Grade 4), Max Daga (incoming Grade 5), and Rocco Mercado (incoming Grade 7)

Description: The great Mt. Makiling housed many creatures, goddesses, and people. It stood tall, towering over floating islands and a deep blue lake. The greatest thing about this mountain is that it shone in the light of the last of the seven moons. One day, the evil Bakunawa, who was after the seven moons, found the last moon and wanted to devour it whole! The goddesses rallied all the village people to fight the great beast before it could devour the moon. The heroes overwhelmed the Bakunawa, pushing it back into the waters, and celebrated knowing they had protected their home.

Visayas

Seniors Team/Secondary Group: "Visayas" (A216SL2348) built by Hanns Bumatay (incoming Grade 10), Gab Macabuhay (incoming Grade 10), Liam Daga (incoming Grade 11), Ian Auto (incoming Grade 8), and Jessie Cardaño (incoming Grade 9).

Description: In the Philippine Islands of the Visayas, in the province of Samar, resides a city full of lights, myths and legends. A city full of beings known as Engkantos who shapeshift. A city of dark and light that only shows itself when it deems it necessary to lure others into the city. For the first time in this legend’s history, we, the citizens, have been granted access, and we've recorded footage to prove its existence. This is the city of light. This is Biringan City.

Please vote for both teams and help them make the Top 8 of their respective categories so they can fly to Legoland Malaysia and represent our school and the Philippines in the Finals! Last day of voting is 31 July 2024, and you are allowed to vote once per gadget. So please vote for both teams using your mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and desktop PCs.
