Ateneo alumni take leadership roles as new board of trustees for the Ateneo Scholarship Foundation

Founded 50 years ago, the Ateneo Scholarship Foundation helps provide financial assistance to academically gifted but economically disadvantaged students. Today the ASF acts as steward of its investment portfolio, and raises money from corporations and individuals to continue the work of making an Ateneo education available for those who might not otherwise afford it.

The ASF recently voted the following alumni to its Board of Trustees:

Alfredo S. Panlilo
Alfredo S Panlilo

Alfredo S Panlilio has served as President and CEO of PLDT Inc and Smart Communications Inc, and previously had senior roles in Manila Electric Company. He is currently President of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and a member of the FIBA Central Board. He holds degrees from San Francisco State University, the JL Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, and is an Ateneo alumnus from classes GS 1976 and HS 1980.

Ma Lorna Datiles Fabian is currently Senior Vice President and Head of the Leasing Group of the Araneta City under ACI Inc. Being a college scholar of Ateneo, Lorna now Chairs the Board of Directors of the Ateneo Alumni Scholars Association (AASA), the organization that inspires scholar-alumni to give back to the University and current-day scholars.  She is also a member of the University Alumni Council. Lorna has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management 1980, a Master’s Degree from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business in 1983 and completed leasing training from Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.

Honorio Poblador IV

Honorio Poblador IV is a Founder and Managing Partner of The Navegar Fund, one of the most active private equity groups in the country. He had previous roles in Rothschild, Iron Capital Management, and Morgan Stanley Private Equity in a career that has spanned Hong Kong, Singapore and Manila.  He holds an MBA from Columbia University and is a Management Economics graduate of Ateneo.
