Ms Malapit’s discussion centered on trademarks and copyrights, where she discussed the strategies and rights in protecting these intellectual properties. Her session aimed to provide attendees with a clearer understanding of how to safeguard their creative and business assets effectively.

Meanwhile, Mr Erfe covered the topic of IP commercialization, where he delved into the fundamentals of IP audit, IP licensing, and the basics of IP valuation. His presentation equipped participants with the knowledge needed to assess, manage, and monetize their intellectual property assets.

It aimed to guide faculty, staff, and students in the appropriate filing of intellectual property works, particularly in the areas of copyright and trademark protection. The initiative underscores Miriam College’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and safeguarding intellectual property rights within its academic community.

AIPO remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen IP education and awareness, empowering institutions and individuals to maximize the value of their intellectual creations.
