Forty-four ALSE OF-LIFE alumni from nine batches participated in the pilot run of the ALSE OF-LIFE National Culture-Building Workshop. This initiative, in collaboration with the Department of Migrant Workers Office in Macau, offered participants an opportunity for self-reflection and community building.

The workshop highlighted Ignatian values that resonated with the experiences of the participants. The concept of "Magis," or the pursuit of excellence, encouraged attendees to cultivate resilience and aim for personal growth despite challenges. Discussions and reflective exercises fostered a deeper understanding of individual aspirations and shared purpose.

"Cura Personalis," or care for the whole person, was also a central theme. The workshop emphasized the importance of self-care and promoting personal well-being, acknowledging its role in nurturing a compassionate and sustainable community. Participants reflected on the necessity of balancing service to others with care for themselves and the environment.

The value of being "Persons for Others" was emphasized through shared stories and community-building activities. These initiatives encouraged a sense of solidarity, mutual support, and collective responsibility. The experiences shared among migrant workers highlighted the significance of unity and empathy in facing common challenges.

Additionally, the principle of "Finding God in All Things" offered participants a framework to recognize meaning and purpose in their everyday experiences. This spiritual grounding fostered a deeper appreciation for life's journey and the connections that enrich it.

The workshop aimed to strengthen the ALSE OF-LIFE alumni network beyond the immediate experience. It represented an important step toward fostering ongoing engagement through future training programs in Macau and participation in Asian Regional Initiatives. These efforts intend to build stronger local and global communities, based on shared values and mutual support.

The ALSE OF-LIFE initiative continues to foster a community dedicated to growth, compassion, and service. It acts as a platform for alumni to grow both personally and collectively, making positive contributions to their communities in Macau and beyond.

St. Francis Xavier, pray for us.
