Admission Results and Timetable for Appeals Grade 11 SY 2025-2026

02 May 2025 | ASHS Office of Admission and Scholarships

Admission results and timetable for appeals Grade 11 SY 2025-2026

Admission decisions for Grade 11, SY 2025-2026 were released last 25 April 2025.  Each applicant may view the decision on his or her application by logging into his/her application account in the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School admission system.

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School is no longer accepting new applications from local applicants for Grade 11, SY 2025-2026.   Also, the school does not accept transferees in Grade 12; Grade 11 is the only entry point into ASHS.   Application for Grade 11, SY 2025-26 will be in August or September, 2025.

Applicants for Grade 11 SY 2025-2026 who wish to make appeals must follow the instructions and timetables indicated per type of appeal below.

A.  Appeals for a Change of Initial Strand

At present, all slots in all strands are filled up. Thus, applicants should confirm their slots in Grade 11 SY 2025-2026 based on the initially granted strand.

Accepted applicants may submit an appeal for a change of initial strand within the period of 5 to 16 May 2025.  Granting of appeals will depend on whether slots in the desired strand open up after all accepted applicants have confirmed their slots.  Provided that there are slots, the applicant’s A-SHAPE scores in pertinent subsections and the applicant’s grades in comparison with the appeals of the other applicants for the limited number of slots will all come into play.

Appeal letters should be written by the applicant and noted by the applicant’s parent or guardian.  Letters should be addressed to the Mrs. Rosanna M. Borja, Principal, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School. Applicants must attach a copy of their most updated available Grade 10 report card, along with the explanation of the grading system (numerical equivalents in case of a letter mark or descriptive grading system).

All appeal letters must be sent through this Google Form:  https://go.ateneo.edu/SHSCASAppealSY2526

The Google form is the only official portal for appeals. Only appeals and recommendation letters uploaded in this portal will be processed.  Thus, please do not deliver hard copies of appeals or recommendation letters to the SHS or email soft copies to the Principal’s or Admissions Office or any office in Ateneo. Those who do so will be asked to upload their appeals in the portal.

Decisions on appeals for a change of initial strand will be emailed to the applicant on or before 30 May 2025, in time for enrollment on 09 to 20 June 2025.  (Note: the OAS only processes appeals for a change of initial strand, prior to enrollment.)

B.  Appeals for Admission:  Waitlisted Applicants

All appeals for admission from waitlisted applicants must be submitted through this Google Form: https://go.ateneo.edu/SHSWLAppealSY2526.  The Google form will accepting responses starting 8 May and until 21 May 2025.

At this time, slots may no longer be available in the applicant’s most preferred strand.  Thus, the Google form will ask the applicants to list all the strands that they are open to, in order of preference. We hope that applicants will be open to being placed in our General Academic Strand, which is the only strand that allows them to choose electives from across all strands. As such, it gives them the option to take all electives in their most desired strand or to explore a wide range of interests from different strands. The GA strand is flexible enough to give adequate preparation for any course in college.

Before filling up the Google form, applicants are asked to prepare the following documents:

1)  An appeal letter stating the reasons the application should be reconsidered.

The letter should be

  • addressed to Mrs Rosanna M Borja, Principal, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School,

  • written by the applicant,

  • noted/signed by the applicant’s parent(s), and

  • saved in PDF format

2)   A scanned copy of the student’s final (complete) Grade 10 report card along with the explanation of the grading system (e.g. numerical equivalents in case of a letter mark or descriptive grading system).  Please save the report card and explanation of the grading system as one PDF file.

As much as possible, applicants should wait for the release of their final Grade 10 report cards.  However, if the final report card will not be released by 21 May 2025, please upload the most updated report card available.

Waitlisted Applicants from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School must wait for the release of their final Grade 10 report card before submitting appeals. Appeals may be submitted as soon as the Grade 10 report card is released.  The deadline for appeals for admission from waitlisted status is 21 May 2025.

In case any waitlisted applicant is asked to undergo summer remedial classes due to a failing grade in a particular subject, he or she must wait for his/her final report card incorporating the final mark(s) for the remedial class before filling up the Google Form.  Passing all subjects in Grade 10 is a prerequisite to being accepted upon appeal. Waitlisted applicants from Ateneo de Manila Junior High School who are required to take SRP may submit their appeal letters as soon as their final report card (incorporating SRP marks) is released.

The Google form is the only official portal for appeals. Only appeals and recommendation letters uploaded in this portal will be processed.  Thus, please do not deliver hard copies of appeals or recommendation letters to the SHS or email soft copies to the Principal’s or the Admissions Office or any office in Ateneo. Those who do so will be asked to upload their appeals in the portal.

Decisions on all appeals from waitlisted status that are made from 8 to 21 May 2025 will be emailed to the applicants on or before 4 June 2025, in time for enrollment on 9 to 20 June  2025.. Decisions on appeals from waitlisted students who need to take a remedial program will be emailed by the last week of June.

C.  Appeals for Admission: Applicants who were not initially accepted

All appeals for admission from “not accepted” status must be submitted through this Google Form: https://go.ateneo.edu/SHSNAAppealSY2526.  The Google form will accept responses starting 5 June and until 18 June 2025.

At this time, slots may no longer be available in the applicant’s most preferred strand.  Thus, the Google form will ask the applicants to list all the strands that they are open to, in order of preference. As much as possible, applicants should wait for the release of their final Grade 10 report cards. However, if the final report card will not be released by 18 June 2025, please upload the most updated report card available.

We request all applicants to follow the instructions and timetable for each type of appeal. Appeals submitted before or after the designated appeal period will not be accommodated. Appeals that are not submitted through the official portals will not be processed. Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
