ASHS debater Lexi Inocencio helps lead Team Philippines to victory at Asian Schools Debating Championship

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the members of Team Philippines for their outstanding achievement at the Vietnam Asian Schools Debating Championship (ASDC) held from 14-19 June 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam. Aidin Alamia, Jacob Ty, Yakov Apura, and Lexi Inocencio emerged as Grand Champions as Team WSDC PH Sun!

We are especially proud to give a shoutout to Ateneo de Manila Senior High School (ASHS) debater Lexi Inocencio (11-Gavan), a key member of this victorious team.

Per the 18 June 2025 post on the World Schools Philippines Debate Team Facebook page, the ASDC is “…the premier regional competition for high school debaters in the Asian Parliamentary Format. Teams from all over Asia gather yearly to compete in some of the most competitive rounds, with excellent and established judges determining one winner per debate.” 

We also wish Lexi and the rest of Team Philippines the very best of luck as they are now in Thailand for the ongoing 7th Asia World Schools Debating Championship (AWSDC) 2025, which began on 29 June and will conclude on 3 July 2025.
