OSA hosts CarSU benchmarking visit

A team from Caraga State University (CarSU) visited Ateneo de Manila University for a benchmarking activity hosted by the Office of Student Activities (OSA) last 3 June 2025. The session, held at Faber Hall Function Room 101, focused on student enterprise and project  operations, student organization management, and performance systems.

The CarSU delegation included Mr Joey Arles O Vergara, OIC-Director of the Division of Resource Management and Entrepreneurial Services; along with Mr Gronert B Baylosis Jr, Mr Raul V Dunan Jr, and Ms Jeralyn D Castrodes.

From Ateneo, the visitors were welcomed by Mr Neil Reyes, Director of OSA; and the OSA professionals and staff. Ms Matec Villanueva, Director of the University Marketing and Communication Office (UMCO), also participated and conducted an orientation on university marketing and communication processes.

The visit included a guided tour of Ateneo’s key facilities, such as Areté, the Ateneo Art Gallery, and cafeteria spaces, followed by discussions on OSA’s approaches to student organization development, performance management, and recognition programs.

CarSU initiated the benchmarking visit as part of its efforts to develop its own student center. The activity provided opportunities for the exchange of practices and perspectives between the two institutions.

As the primary host, OSA provided an overview of its programs on student formation and organizational management, offering insights into Ateneo’s practices for the benefit of other higher education institutions.
