Developing a Results-Oriented Monitoring and Evaluation System

The Ateneo School of Government (ASoG), through its Executive Education Program, has successfully concluded its training course on Developing a Results-Oriented Monitoring and Evaluation System on 28 to 29 August 2025 at Ateneo de Manila University. This course is designed to provide participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to design and implement a results-oriented Monitoring and Evaluation system for their programs, with a special focus on baselining, integrated data collection, and final evaluation.

Developing a Results-Oriented Monitoring and Evaluation System

Participants came from the national government agencies such as  Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), Bureau of the Treasury, Department of Energy and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Education (Regional Office I), Department of Science and Technology (Region V) as well as Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao’s Ministry of Labor and Employment. Academic institutions and civil society organizations also joined the program.

Developing a Results-Oriented Monitoring and Evaluation System

The sessions were led by Mr. Noel M. Macalalad, former Assistant Secretary at the Department of Social Welfare and Development and adjunct faculty member at the Ateneo School of Government. Drawing from decades of public and private sector experience, he combined theory with practical insights through interactive workshops simulating real-world challenges.
