Ateneo BUILD accredited as Philippine Coordinator for International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI)

The Ateneo Business Insights Laboratory for Development (BUILD), under the John Gokongwei School of Management, has been officially accredited as the Country/Territory Coordinator for the Philippines in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI). This accreditation, valid until 2026, designates BUILD as the sole organization responsible for the nationwide and inclusive selection of Philippine teams for this international competition.

The IOAI is a global initiative for high school students that introduces them to artificial intelligence through problem-solving competitions. It provides a platform for young learners to build technical skills, creativity, and collaboration while engaging with peers from around the world.

As the Philippine coordinator, BUILD will ensure that the selection process is inclusive and open to all eligible high school students, regardless of school, region, or background. Competitions must guarantee equal access across the country. While nominal fees may be collected to cover necessary expenses such as travel or accommodations, the IOAI strictly prohibits charging fees for profit.

Filipino high school students, educators, and schools across the country will be invited to participate in upcoming stages, with further details to be released through Ateneo BUILD’s official channels.
