Ateneo, AFP renew partnership commitment

On 19 September 2025, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University signed a Declaration of Cooperation to pursue new collaborative initiatives to support leadership and management capacity building in the military.  The partnership will be spearheaded by the AFP’s Office for Strategic Studies and Strategy Management (OSSSM) and the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG).  This partnership aims to enhance knowledge sharing and capacity building, leveraging the strengths of each institution, and underscoring their shared commitment to strengthening governance and promoting peace and development.

In 2021, the AFP awarded Ateneo an Official Plaque of Recognition for the University’s continuous support to improve military training and education. The continued partnership reaffirms Ateneo’s commitment to nation-building and social transformation through education, research, and partnerships that advance ethical governance and servant leadership in our public institutions.
