The Ateneo Center for Educational Development (ACED) and BagoSphere conducted the Grounded Leaders Program for 49 supervisors and school heads from the Department of Education's Division of Science in the City of Muñoz, from 30 September to 2 October 2025.
Guided by the belief that “leadership is an inside-out job,” the program helped school leaders cultivate self-awareness, empathy, and purpose as they developed practical coaching and problem-solving skills.
Through mindfulness practices, peer coaching, and the Impact Lab, where participants created and presented solutions to real school challenges, the program encouraged leaders to reflect and act with clarity and compassion. Feedback from the respondents showed that nearly everyone found the sessions very useful and agreed that the training fully achieved its objectives. One participant shared that “Grounded leadership is like a lighthouse: firmly rooted on solid ground, it stands steady through storms, shining light to help others find their direction."

Some participants said the experience helped them lead with authenticity, identify root causes of challenges, and apply practical solutions. They expressed their commitment to bring these insights to their schools as they navigate complex leadership challenges, guiding their teams with confidence, compassion, and purpose.
