14 Nov 2025
The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) has launched the pilot-testing of its Digital Workplace Competency Training (DWCT) Microcredential offering under the MicroCASA Project, a free online course designed to equip staff and professionals with essential digital skills for today’s workplaces. This course was co-created by the UPOU, the University of the Philippines System, and Ateneo de Manila University, and is funded by the European Union.
The course officially opened on 11 November and has already attracted more than 1500 enrollees as of 14 November, including several colleagues from Ateneo de Manila University.
Anchored on the European Union’s DigComp 2.2 Framework, the DWCT equips learners with practical skills in information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, online safety, and problem solving.
Training runs through 30 November 2025, through the Digital Workplace Competency Training Enrollment Form.
