Strengthening communities: Ateneo Gabay launches new collaboration with IVES

Ateneo Gabay, the student organization dedicated to the academic and holistic formation of Ateneo scholars, formalized its partnership with Industrial Valley Elementary School (IVES) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on 16 September 2025. This renewed agreement enables the implementation of all sub-projects under the Gabay Erya Formation Program (GEFP) for the school year, including Erya Babad, DiagFerence, and Erya Insertions, which provide learning support and formation spaces for IVES students.

The MOU was signed by Ms Herminigilda De Claro, Principal of IVES, and Mr Jeric Briones, Moderator of Ateneo Gabay, representing their respective institutions. The signing was witnessed by Education Operations Committee Heads, Love Caranza and Dory Robles, along with Christian Conanan, Project Development Officer of IVES. The agreement reaffirms the shared commitment of both institutions to collaborative educational programs that benefit young learners and empower student volunteers.

For parents and prospective students, the partnership highlights the strong support system available to Ateneo scholars. Ateneo Gabay continues to form both scholar and non-scholar members through its four committees—Education Operations, Member Formation, Scholar Adjustment, and Academics. Through initiatives such as tutoring programs, educational seminars, book-lending services, formation sessions, Scholars’ Week, and long-running community engagement efforts like Erya and Kulito, Gabay nurtures academically grounded, socially responsible student-advocates.

Anchored in its long-standing mission of “patuloy na pagtataya,” Ateneo Gabay’s renewed collaboration with IVES underscores its commitment to forming scholars who are not only academically excellent but also deeply rooted in service.
