2026 THE Subject Rankings: Ateneo among top universities globally in 4 subject areas

Ateneo de Manila University is among the top higher education institutions in four subject areas in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) subject rankings.
The THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026 showed Ateneo as among the top universities globally in Psychology (501-600); Social Sciences (801-1000); Physical Sciences (1251+); and Arts and Humanities (601-800).
THE released this year's rankings, which rank institutions globally based on major academic disciplines, on 21 January 2026.
Ateneo previously ranked in Psychology, Social Sciences, and Physical Sciences in 2025. The subject rankings use the data from the THE World University Rankings but are evaluated based on the disciplines, THE said.
