A milestone for Ateneo: MD–MBA Program secures AUN-QA certification

23 Mar 2026

Quality Education
Partnerships for the Goals

The Doctor of Medicine–Master in Business Administration (MD–MBA) program of the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH), in partnership with the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB), marks a significant milestone as it successfully passed the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Programme Assessment held from 11 to 13 November 2025.

This milestone was achieved during the 482nd AUN-QA Assessment at Programme Level, where the MD–MBA program received a rating of 5 (“Better than Adequate”) across all eight criteria—a strong affirmation of the program’s quality and standards.

As a dual-degree program, the assessment covered both ASMPH and AGSB, with assessors visiting the two institutions to gain a comprehensive view of the program. ASMPH was honored to welcome Dr. Yu Un Oppusunggu of Universitas Indonesia and Dr. Aidil Azli Bin Alias of Universiti Sarawak Malaysia, who engaged with faculty, students, and partners, and visited learning, clinical, and community sites.

This certification affirms the program’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the formation of health professionals equipped with both clinical competence and management expertise. It also reflects a continuing effort to strengthen and sustain a culture of quality and safety across all aspects of the program.

Rather than an endpoint, the AUN-QA certification serves as an affirmation of the program’s ongoing journey of continuous improvement—guiding future developments and reinforcing its responsibility to remain responsive, relevant, and socially accountable.

The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health and the Ateneo Graduate School of Business extend their heartfelt gratitude to faculty, staff, students, alumni, administration and partners whose invaluable contributions made this achievement possible.
