Putting It All Together with Luv

February was full of love, fun, and creativity at the Katigbak Educational Media Center (KEMC). In celebration of Mom’s Month and Teachers’ Day on 13 February 2026, Mrs. Hannah Bueno and the KEMC team organized a week-long activity from 9 to 12 February to allow students to show their love and appreciation for their teachers and families.

With colors chosen from the heart, students from Grades 1 to 4 created vibrant heart mosaics. Carefully arranging pieces of colored paper into heart shapes, they then lovingly gave their creations to their teachers and family members. Meanwhile, students in Grades 5 and 6 crafted delicate origami tulips for their teachers and loved ones. Through these handmade gifts, the celebration became even more meaningful and colorful.

But the love did not stop there.

The KEMC team delighted teachers and staff in the Faculty Area with a special surprise: “Love is Nothing Stronger than a Book with Luv,” a blind-date-with-a-book event inspired by the K-pop boy band BTS, held from 9 to 20 February 2026. New books, magazines, and AV resources were wrapped in newspaper and labelled with fun clues, inviting participants to guess what was inside. Teachers could also get a special KEMC pin and join a raffle by dropping their entry stubs in either the BTS Box or the Mystery Box. Due to the overwhelming response in the first week, the KEMC team rolled out a second-week surprise called “Scratch & Win,” offering even more fun prizes and keeping the celebration going.

The Book with Luv raffle ended successfully, with the winners announced on 23 February 2026, bringing smiles and delightful surprises to the lucky recipients.

Following this, the KEMC Café Part 2 opened, where teachers and staff could enjoy their favorite books with a cup of coffee. The winners of the KEMC Champ incentive card promo, which ran from 17 November 2025, to 6 February 2026, were also awarded on 11 February 2026, in the Faculty Area.

As February came to a close, the Katigbak Educational Media Center (KEMC) celebrated not only the success of the activities but also the love, gratitude, and joy shared within the AGS community. Every mosaic piece, every folded tulip, every wrapped book, and every surprise prize reflected our appreciation for our teachers and loved ones.
