The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH) celebrates an outstanding performance in the October 2025 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), achieving an impressive 98.44% passing rate as released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on 16 October 2025.
All first-time examinees of Batch 2025 passed the examination, marking a 100% passing rate for the school’s newest doctors. This remarkable outcome reflects the graduates’ years of dedication and perseverance, strengthened by the guidance of mentors and the support of a community that has accompanied them from their first day in medical school to their first day as physicians.
Among those who brought pride to the Ateneo community is Johann Vincent Gan Lam, MD-MBA, who placed 7th among nearly 5,900 examinees nationwide. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, specializing in Biomedical Sciences before pursuing his dual degree at ASMPH, Dr. Lam’s achievement stands as a source of immense pride for the Ateneo—embodying both academic excellence and the spirit of service that define its graduates.
With a national passing rate of 77.46%, ASMPH’s stellar performance underscores the strength of its integrated MD-MBA program and its continuing commitment to form competent, compassionate, and socially accountable physicians who are ready to serve the nation.
ASMPH extends its warmest congratulations to the newly licensed doctors. Since, success has always been a shared journey. Behind every achievement is a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and compassion that has defined the school since its beginning. This triumph is a reflection of that spirit—one rooted in the enduring ASMPH creed: No Atenean Left Behind.
