Pagtapos ng Frankfurt: Isang Pag-Uusap

Talakayang Panel at Zine Event para sa mga Susunod na Hakbangin sa Panitikan, Pagkatapos ng Frankfurt Book Fair 

Kasama sina Camille Abaya, Karl Castro, Adam David, Lance Dayrit, Jerry Gracio, Arlo Mendoza at ang mga Samahang Pangmanunulat na Bente-Bente Zine, Gadgad Press, KM64 Writers Collective, at Sierbosten

Upang magpatala, magtungo sa http://go.ateneo.edu/PagtaposNgFrankfurt. 

Isang malaking tagumpay at karangalan para sa Pilipinas at sa mayamang panitikan nito ang maging Guest of Honor sa Frankfurt Book Fair ngayong taon. 

Ngunit kaakibat din nito ang ilang mahalagang tanong:

  • Ano ang bigat ng ating pakikilahok sa isang pandaigdigang pagtitipon na ang kumikilala't nagpaparangal na bansa ay iniuugnay sa nagpapatuloy na henosidyo sa Palestine?
  • Paano natin tinitimbang ang dangal ng pagkilala at ang paninindigan para sa katarungang panlipunan? 

Kami, sa Ateneo Institute of Literary Arts and Practices (AILAP), sa pakikipagtulungan ng Kagawaran ng Filipino, Baybayin Ateneo, at Ateneo 4 Palestine (A4P), ay malugod na nag-aanyaya sa inyong makibahagi sa talakayang ito na naglalayong muling buksan sa diyalogong makabuluha't espasyong ligtas ang mga nagbabanggaang katuwirang lumalampas sa paglahok at pagboykot sa naturang book fair. Tangka rin nitong pag-isipan ang mga hakbang na maaari pang isagawa ng mga Filipinong manunulat at publisher upang higit na maitaguyod ang tindig ng ating komunidad laban sa henosidyong nagaganap sa Palestine. 

Sa harap ng tensiyon ng pagkilala at paninindigan, sama-sama nating pagnilayan at pag-usapan: 

  • Kung naririyan na’t tulóy ang Frankfurt Book Fair, paano at saan pa kaya natin maipapakita ang dunong at dangal ng mga akda at manunulat na Filipino?
  • Ano pa ang mga alternatibong daluyan o lunsaran—bukod sa o pagkatapos ng Frankfurt Book Fair—na maaari ding pagtampukan ng ating panitikan?
  • Ano rin ba ang tungkulin ng panitikan sa panahon ng krisis at karahasan—at saan natin nais igiya ang landas nito?

Libre at bukás sa publiko ang gawain. Magdala lamang ng valid ID sa mismong araw para makapasok sa campus.
