[AGS] Environment Week
01 Sep 2025
From 1 to 5 September 2025, Ateneo de Manila Grade School celebrates Environment Week with the theme, "Be a Planet Hero to Make Plastics Zero!" In line with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) theme, the entire AGS community is called to be aware of and take action against the escalating threat of plastic pollution.
According to the UNEP (2021), over 300 million tons of plastic waste are generated annually. This harms marine life, clogs waterways, and contributes significantly to global pollution.
We are all called to be part of the solution. By bringing our own water bottles, refusing single-use plastics, choosing reusable alternatives, and properly disposing of our waste, we can make a real difference. These simple yet impactful actions show our commitment to protecting the environment and ensuring a cleaner, healthier future for all.
Even small actions lead to big change, so let’s all rise to the challenge. Be a planet hero. Make plastics zero!
