Position Title: Education and Training Specialist (Resilient Housing Project)
Department/Office: Ateneo Policy Center
Reports to: Head of Ateneo Policy Center
Mode: Consultancy; deliverable-based
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Education and Training Specialist leads the development of capacity-building modules and organizing, monitoring, and supervision of relevant activities and training programs agreed upon by the center’s management team.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, social sciences, communication, education, or any related field, with above-average academic performance; Masteral units/degree a strong advantage;
- Strong analytical skills and appreciation of development;
- Thematic familiarity with governance and institutions and public health;
- At least five years of relevant work experience;
- Preferably residing in Bohol or Cebu;
- Proficiency in graphics presentation and other software used in project implementation is advantageous;
- Ability to work efficiently and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision;
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in English and Filipino; and
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to contribute effectively to team research processes.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Education and Training Specialist is expected to:
- Develop capacity-building modules including learning outcomes, topics, and topic objectives;
- Lead the development of evaluation methods, training materials and videos;
- Lead the pilot implementation of learning modules in the three project sites: Marikina, Bohol, and Dinagat Islands;
- Organize, monitor, and supervise capacity-building activities and training programs;
- Document and improve learning modules based on the results of the pilot implementation;
- Maintain liaison with resource persons and public and private stakeholders; and
- Perform such other functions as may be assigned by the project team similar to and related to the functions enumerated above.
