Call for Applications: Independent Contractor for Communication and Marketing (Ateneo School of Government)

Decent Work and Economic Growth

The Ateneo School of Government is currently looking for qualified candidates for the following position: Independent Contractor for Communication and Marketing

I. Tasks and Functions

The Independent Contractor for Communication and Marketing is expected to undertake the
following:


Communications and Branding

  • Develop, implement, monitor and assess an annual communications plan, as approved by the Academic Head/Dean
  • Conceptualize and align ASoG’s branding collaterals with that of Ateneo as a whole
  • Oversee the organization of the design, copywriting, proofing, and production of branding materials, such as
    • Digital brochures
    • Presentation materials
    • Video clips
  • Promotional materials (jackets, etc) Monitor the effectiveness and impact of the communications and branding strategy, including assessment and evaluation

Marketing

  • Develop an online/digital marketing campaign utilizing all social media platforms
    • Review/assess ASoG’s social media accounts/engagement
    • Increase membership in ASoG social media accounts
    • Daily updating/release of social media content (Lead/anchor the creation of digital content for all social media platforms
    • Monitors/Manages social media responses/inquiries
  • Manage/maintain the info.asog email address and the ASoG website (keep it updated)
  • Organize a communications volunteer group for content creation, events management, and other marketing activities

II. Other responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the University and Marketing Communication Office (UMCO)
  • Work in collaboration with the Student and Alumni Engagement staff
  • Provide communications and branding support for ASoG events, such as the Kapihan sa ASoG, alumni gatherings, graduation, etc.

III. Qualifications

  • College graduate in communications, journalism, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years solid experience in the areas of communications, marketing, journalism, and digital communication.
  • Excellent writing, editorial, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent record of accomplishment in producing communication material including social media posts and brochures, flyers, etc.…
  • Good knowledge of communication principles.
  • Knowledge of multimedia to develop a range of communication and information products.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms/content creation.
  • Previous communications experience with UN/UNDP or similar is an asset.

IV. Competencies:

  • Ability to operate in teams and in a flexible manner.
  • Respect for Diversity: Displays culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age sensitivity.
  • Displays a high level of respect and tact when dealing with partners: excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish and maintain effective working relations with different stakeholders;
  • Communication: Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise style.
