Ateneo, DLSU, and UP partner to host 4th AUN International Health Promotion Conference this November

Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University (DLSU), and the University of the Philippines (UP) are partnering with the ASEAN University Network (AUN) Health Promotion Network to host the 4th AUN International Health Promotion Conference and 10th International Advisory Committee Meeting.
The partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the three schools at the Henry Sy Sr Hall at the UP College of Medicine in Manila. Present at the signing were Fr Roberto C "Bobby" Yap SJ, Ateneo de Manila University President; Br Bernard Oca FSC, De La Salle University President; and Atty Angelo Jimenez, UP System President.
Other administrators in attendance were Dr Benjamin Tolosa Jr, Ateneo Vice President for Mission Integration; Ms Kai Shan Fernandez, DLSU Senior Vice President; Dr Johanna Cañal, UP Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance; and Dr Michael Tee, UP Manila Chancellor
A regional network of academic collaboration between health experts, medical practitioners, and higher education institutions, the AUN-HPN promotes the role of universities in promoting healthy lifestyles and environments with a health promotion approach. Its mission is to serve as a platform for ASEAN higher education institutions for collaboration among themselves and with other key stakeholders for health promotion in the ASEAN region, and to share knowledge, skills, and resources among the network members to build capacity for health promotion and to develop innovative solutions to common health challenges in the region.
The 4th AUN-HPN International Health Promotion Conference and 10th International Advisory Committee Meeting is set to take place from 27 to 28 November at the Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts hotel in Pasay City. It carries the theme of “Advancing Health Promotion in the ASEAN Region: Championing University Innovations for Equity and Resilience.”
