Through its partnership with Security Bank Foundation, Inc, Ateneo de Manila University continues its mission to help level up the performance of public schools through programs that are needs-based, community-owned, and outcomes-based. This shared commitment has made possible the Mentoring Future Leaders for Nation-Building Program, which provides sustained training and mentoring for public school principals and professional development for public school teachers.
Security Bank Foundation, Inc. has long worked to improve the quality of education in the Philippines by supporting public schools and partnering with universities like Ateneo. Through this initiative, the Foundation enables programs that combine research-based design, close engagement with schools, and a strong focus on measurable results. This partnership has played a key role in the success and sustainability of the program.
Ateneo de Manila University recently conducted an Impact Assessment that examines the results of this initiative. The report shows that when school leaders and teachers receive the right support, they are better able to improve teaching practices, strengthen school systems, and support better learning in their schools.
The report was released by Ateneo de Manila University through the collaboration of the Office of the Vice President for Mission Integration (OVP-MI), the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Social and Environmental Engagement for Development and Sustainability (OAVP-SEEDS), and the Ateneo Center for Educational Development (ACED). It reflects the University’s commitment to assess its programs and ensure that they create meaningful and lasting impact.
This report highlights how strong partnerships, shared mission, and sustained support can help public schools grow and better serve their communities.
