Ateneo Law School signs MOU with Pancasila University

On 4 October 2021, the Ateneo Law School signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Law Pancasila University of Indonesia. The signing of the MOU signaled the start of academic cooperation between the two law schools.
Among others, the academic cooperation will provide for opportunities for joint research activities, exchange of publications, reports and other academic materials and information, sharing of activities and programs in areas of mutual interest, and when possible, the exchange of visits of lecturers, students and administrative staff.
Gracing the signing ceremony were Charge D’Affaires Ad Interim, Embassy of Republic of Indonesia in Manila, Mr. Widya Rahmanto, and Education and Culture Attache, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Manila, Philippines, Prof. Dr. Ir. Aisyah Endah Palupi, M.Pd.

Among those who attended from the Pancasila University were Rector of Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Eddy Toet Hendratno, S.H., M.Si., FCBArb, Dean of the Faculty of Law Pancasila University, Prof. Dr. Eddy Pratomo, S.H., M.A. and Vice Director of Pancasila University International Office, H.E. Ambassador Mulya Wirana, S.H.
Attendees from ALS included John Dr. Paul. Vergara, Vice President for the Professional Schools, Atty. Jose Maria G. Hofilena, Dean of ALS, Atty. Maita Chan-Gonzaga, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Atty. Ampy Sta. Maria, Director of the Graduate Legal Studies Institute, and Atty. Ryan Quan, Program Coordinator of the Graduate Legal Studies Institute.
Already, the two law schools are looking forward to joint activities such as the establishment of a legal clinic for Pancasila University with input from the Ateneo Law School’s experience and attendance at an event in December to commemorate the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Seas particularly the Archipelagic Doctrine.
