CALOHEA is an international project involving 31 institutions across 8 countries within the ASEAN and 5 countries in Europe. The University of Groningen serves as project coordinator. and the coordinator within the region is the ASEAN University Network (AUN).
The project aims to contribute to the internationalization of higher education institutions in Southeast Asia through developing a series of interrelated measures in 3 recognition mechanisms: (1) the creation and use of regional subject-specific qualifications and assessment reference frameworks to permit greater comparability of institutional degree program profiles, (2) installment of the culture of Student Workload Measurement as an integral part of curriculum design, and (3) implementation of authentic assessment of internationally comparable Learning Outcomes in degree programs. The three degree programs currently involved are Medicine, Civil Engineering, and Teacher Education. (calohea.org)
