Dr Leslie V Advincula-Lopez is new director of Development Studies Program

We are pleased to announce that Dr Leslie V Advincula-Lopez is the new director of the Development Studies Program.

A sociologist with extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation, Dr Lopez is a multi-awarded scholar. She is a recipient of outstanding book awards from the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and of an ASEAN-Fulbright Research Grant at the University Maryland at College Park. As a Research Fellow at the Institute of Philippine Culture, she works on a variety of development-related issues including conflict, local governance, and school-based feeding programs.

Dr Lopez received a PhD in Sociology at the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2019.
