Calendar of Commemoration Events
The Ateneo Martial Law Museum (AMLM), together with its partners, invites everyone to the different events and activities to commemorate the life, heroism, and legacy of Former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" S Aquino Jr.
Forty years ago, on 21 August 1983, Ninoy Aquino was assassinated as he returned home to his beloved Philippines. His death served as an important catalyst for the Filipino people to make a stand, organize, and rise up against the abusive Marcos regime. As we join the entire nation in honoring his martyrdom, let us—as one community—come together to remember his sacrifice, and that of all others who have fought for our freedom and democracy.
